Ariba approached us recently with an exciting opportunity. They wanted us to create a video to enter in a nationwide contest sponsored by Salesforce.com. Particularly, they wanted us to create a character for this video that was iconic and could be used again in other projects. Many creative meetings and scribbled sketches later, we introduced Ariba to this guy (left), who acts as the video’s host and sports the company’s red, white, and black color scheme. They liked him so much, they named him Axel, and then had us create his twin “Moose”, who hosts Ariba’s Start Sourcing video. You can find Moose in the gallery.
And the Facebook connection? Ariba submitted the video into this year’s Dreamforce contest on Salesforce.com. During the first phase of competition, each video had to earn votes from the masses on a Facebook page. Not only was the Ariba video one of the highest vote-getters, it earned Ariba the opportunity to present its product offering live at Dreamforce, the foremost cloud computing industry event of the year. Over 80,000 people either attended Dreamforce in person or viewed the conference virtually online. Talk about exposure!
